Real World Learning Experiences
Real world experiences, like internships and job shadowing, allow you to apply what you've learned and dig deeper into your field of study. Learning at HU focuses on integration and connections to the world of work. This means that we intentionally incorporate real world experiences from outside the classroom through case studies, scenarios and problem solving. Corporate faculty and internships enable you to connect theory with practical applications by experiencing the material first-hand, ensuring that what you learn is highly relevant in your future career.
Plus, there's no need to wait until the end of your academic career to make useful workplace connections. You'll get the most from internships if you do them early and often! This way you'll have time to choose electives that complement your personal interests. You'll have the option to intern during the summer after your first year with a number of companies in our experiential learning network.
