Laura Dimino, Ph.D.
Director of Learning Assessment
Dr. Dimino received her B.A. from Clark University, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Rochester. She began her teaching career at Hamilton College, and later was an Assistant Professor at SUNY Buffalo. She has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including courses on American politics, elections, gender, and theory. Her early work and publications focused on state legislative elections. Her later collaborative research on the gender gap in elections was published in Political Research Quarterly. An article on the subject of gender in legislative discourse appeared in The Journal of Politics. At Harrisburg University, she teaches general education courses.
