Project Leadership

Applying leadership to Strategy, People, Climate in Project & Program Management

2010 Project Leadership Forum

"A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don't necessarily want to go, but ought to be."

— Rosalyn Carter

Keynotes | Case Studies | Hands-on Workshops | Networking

The Project Leadership Forum integrates the rich content and experiential aspects of a training, with the diversity of perspectives and networking benefits of a conference.

Inspiring and informative keynote presentations will explore evidence supporting the cost/value business case for leadership development of project and program managers, and will explore issues at an organizational strategy and culture level. Keynote presentations will answer the question 'why focus on leadership development?' and 'what constitutes project leadership?' Read more about the keynote presentations.

Case study sessions explore best practices in action and examine an actual project where success was attained in large part due to an intentional focus on the application of important leadership competencies, in addition to sound project management. Led by stakeholders in the project, case studies provide participants with an in-depth analysis of the challenges, opportunities and lessons learned brought to life through their project. Case studies also provide a group forum to dissect the lessons illustrated by the project and talk through their application in other scenarios.Read more about the case studies

Hands-on leadership workshops are issue driven, led by leadership experts, and provide instruction and practical applications. They provide guided development of a personal action plan to incorporate new techniques into your current assignments and responsibilities. Participants will reflect on their own professional development goals and through the support of leadership experts and peers, will formulate an action plan to implement changes in their leadership style and skills set.
