Fred Griffiths

Fred Griffiths
Technology Integration Coach, Warwick High School

Fred has 15 years of classroom experience teaching all levels of chemistry at the high school level. Those years of rich and diverse experiences taught him many things about discipline, teaching, learning, assessment and motivation. Fred’s teaching style promoted using technological tools for problem solving, creative thinking and collaboration instead of rote memorization. His efforts in that capacity earned him both state and national recognition for integrating technology in his transformed chemistry classroom.

In 2004, Fred earned a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State University to supplement and enhance his teaching practices with research-based instructional designs. He earned his Instructional Technology Certification through Penn State University as well.

In 2006, Fred was hired as a technology integration coach for the Warwick School District, supporting teaching and learning at both the High School and Middle School.  Fred coaches teachers as they integrate technology in their classroom, combining relevant technological tools with research-based pedagogical practices.  Fred is frequently requested as a regional conference presenter, because of his pragmatic approach to technology and his relaxed teaching style.
