Senior Grants Researcher and Writer

Harrisburg University of Science & Technology, a growing private, non-profit university located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, has an immediate opening for a Senior Grants Researcher and Writer. This exempt, full-time position reports to the Associate Provost for Strategic Markets.

The Senior Grants Researcher and Writer position requires a motivated, self-directed person who will routinely identify and respond to grants and sponsored project opportunities for the university. The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain a process for finding and tracking potential grant and funding opportunities in line with the university’s mission, priorities, and interests; maintain current knowledge of policies, regulations and procedures for submission and administration of sponsored projects; and serve as chief writer in development and submission of proposals and agreements.

Bachelor's degree required, masters preferred; five(5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible management and writing of proposals and reports are highly desirable; previous experience working with higher education is a plus. Certification as a research administrator, grants manager or professional writer is preferred.

Proven ability to identify and secure grants and manage proposals should be demonstrated, along with outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills.
