Security Desk Attendant – Full Time and Part Time
Harrisburg University of Science and Technology invites candidates to submit their interest in either the Full Time or Part Time Security Desk Attendant positions. These non-exempt positions report to the AVP of HR & Administration, and work closely with other university professionals to ensure the safety and security of the campus.
The position requires experience working with the public in an urban setting. Previous experience in a college setting a plus.
The ideal candidate will possess strong professional communication skills, and present a professional image. Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial setting essential. Demonstrated high level of customer service in high volume, fast paced, environment is critical.

Learning Technologies Production Coordinator
Harrisburg University of Science and Technology invites candidates to submit their interest in the Learning Technologies Production Coordinator position. This exempt, full-time position reports to the Director of Learning Technologies. In collaboration with the Director of Learning Technologies and the Director of CAE<, this position will design and implement learning projects and courses aimed at supporting growth in both areas.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and four to six years experience in instructional technology. Qualifications include experience in designing, writing and developing instructional materials for digital delivery, excellent project management skills, public speaking abilities, and interactive development with Adobe Flash and ActionScript 2+. Experience in K-12 teaching, graphic design, HTML, JavaScript, Moodle, and Distance Learning are preferred but not required.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial setting.

Corporate Faculty in Learning Technologies
Corporate Faculty in Learning Technologies Sought at Harrisburg University Harrisburg University of Science and Technology seeks qualified corporate faculty members with expertise and experience in learning technologies for opportunities to deliver graduate-level courses in our Learning Technologies Master of Science program. The university is seeking individuals with instructional design, instructional development or K-16 technology integration experience for the following topics:
- Overview of learning technologies and solutions
- Writing for instruction
- Installing and maintaining a learning technology infrastructure (hardware, software, evaluation / troubleshooting)
- Media selection, design and production
- eLearning development fundamentals
- Learning technology evaluation, selection and implementation
- Moodle
- Virtual classroom facilitation
- Web 2.0 in the organization
- Visual representation for learning and communication
- Using games and simulations for learning
- Game & simulation design
- Classroom technology
- Virtual worlds for learn
- Rapid instructional design and development
Master's degree in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in instructional design and/or learning technologies is required. Teaching experience inhigher education is highly desirable; preferably at the graduate level. Demonstrated experience and expertise in designing and delivering education and/or training desired.
There are current opportunities for courses that will be taught is spring, summer and fall 2010 at one of three locations (Harrisburg, Lancaster, York County). The potential for online teaching also exists.
Corporate faculty members are independent contractors, who are hired to develop and teach a course or courses as well as advise students when appropriate.

Corporate Faculty in IT Project Management Sought at Harrisburg University
Harrisburg University of Science and Technology seeks qualified, potential corporate faculty members with expertise and experience in information technology project management for opportunities to deliver graduate-level courses in our IT Project Management program. The university is seeking individuals with expertise in risk management, procurement and contract management in information technology, and individuals with expertise in quality assurance measures, quality control processes and quality models representing industry standards and protocols for IT projects.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management is required; master’s degree in a related field (such as information systems or computer science) and PMP certification are highly desirable. Demonstrated experience and expertise in developing and delivering education and/or training desired. Corporate faculty members are independent contractors, and are contracted to teach a course or courses for one semester per contract.
