Come For the Parade; Stay for an Education--HU Open House, November 18, 2006
Nov 9, 2006
Two great events add up to one big opportunity on Nov. 18th as downtown Harrisburg comes alive for both the annual Holiday Parade and Harrisburg University’s Open House.
The Harrisburg Holiday Parade and the HU Open House both begin at 10 a.m., Saturday November 18. Harrisburg University’s Open House runs until 2 p.m. and it is a great opportunity for prospective students and families to learn more about the only four-year comprehensive university in downtown Harrisburg, its science and technology-focused degree programs, student financial aid opportunities and to meet one-on-one with an admissions counselor.
“Everybody loves a parade. The parade route passes within a block of the University so watch the parade then come to our Open House to learn about our many majors, check out our great financial aid packages and get a tour of our University,” says Steven Infanti, Director of Communications at Harrisburg University.
The University is located at 215 Market Street in Harrisburg. To register, contact Sonja Morrison by e-mail at Admissions@HarrisburgU.net or call 717-901-5101. Visit the University online at www.HarrisburgU.net.
Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, founded in 2001, is a private, non-profit, science and technology-focused comprehensive university. Chartered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, HU offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as professional and continuing education and certificate programs, in biotechnology and biosciences, computer and information sciences, e-business and management, integrative sciences, and geography and geospatial imaging.
