Alumni Day & Open House

Busienss & Community Leaders Join Board of Trustees
Three well-respected business and community leaders have joined the Board of Trustees. The University board has elected and welcomed aboard: W. Thomas (Tom) Kirchhoff, Jr., Executive Vice President & COO of Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc.; Jessica E. Meyers, Owner and President of JEM Group; and Robert M. Scaer, registered professional engineer, president of GeoDecisions and Senior Vice-President of Gannett-Fleming. The addition of these three outstanding leaders to our Board of Trustees will build on the University’s strong momentum and provide strategic guidance.

University Program Impacts the Nation
The University continues to impact science and technology education around the nation through its National Center for Science and Civic Engagement (NCSCE), which has appointed 76 distinguished educators from colleges and universities to the inaugural class of SENCER Leadership Fellows. SENCER – Science Education for New Civic Engagements and Responsibilities – is the National Science Foundation-supported signature program of the National Center for Science and Civic Engagement.  SENCER Leadership Fellows are distinguished educators with exemplary leadership and commitment to the improvement of science, technology, engineering or mathematic education.
PMI Partnership Benefits Students
The fall class of students enrolled in the master’s degree of Information Technology Project Management program will enjoy the benefits of membership in the Keystone Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI). The free annual membership further ensures that students stay informed of new and improved Project Management tools and techniques, and to take advantage of the personal contacts developed from their association with PMI members locally and around the world. 



IT Project Management Certificates


Responding to market demands from businesses for information technology professionals with the skills to plan, manage, and evaluate technology projects successfully, the University now offers three graduate-level certificates for professionals looking for the opportunity to build skills and understanding in specialized areas within business analysis and project management. Within the University’s graduate program in IT Project Management, individuals can enroll in one of the following graduate certificates: Managing Software Development Projects; Business Analysis for Project Management; IT Project Management Certificate.
