HU+U: THINK ABOUT YOUR FUTURE. WE DO!
As a veteran, your military service has prepared you for life’s toughest challenges, including earning a college degree. Take the next step in your career through a degree program with HU.
At Harrisburg University you are not alone! There are many students who share your background in the service. Faculty, staff and alumni and students who are veterans will help you during your time at the University. If you'd like to meet with a member of the HU Veterans Club, email us at Connect@HarrisburgU.edu.
The University is approved by the Veterans Administration to participate in the “Yellow Ribbon” program. Additionally, G.I. Jobs Magazine selected Harrisburg University as a Military Friendly School for 2013. The honor places HU in the top 15 percent of all colleges, universities and trade schools nationwide, and recognizes the University’s steadfast commitment to educating the nation’s military veterans.
Make Sure You're Eligible
If you're looking at Harrisburg University and are considering taking advantage of the education benefits offered by Veterans Affairs, you will want to first ensure that the VA deems you eligible for those benefits and that it has your chosen course of study on an approved list. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs GI Bill website states who is eligible for education benefits, and the Veterans Online Application website also outlines the forms needed to support an initial application for those benefits. For questions on the GI Bill, you can also call 1-888-GIBILL-1 (1-888-442-4551).
On the right, you'll find some shortcuts to the info you'll need! So take some time, look around and discover what's waiting for you at HU.
